Mission

I have always been a fierce advocate for equality, equity and social justice.  As a black woman with black male friends and family members, after the gruesome murder of George Floyd in May 2020, I had to reflect. I had to find a way to uplift my community and Because Philly is Love is my passion and a way to give back.

Our mission at Because Philly is Love is to build a community movement neighborhood by neighborhood and provide visibility for marginalized and underserved black businesses owners in Philly.
